Sitting down at my desk, looking for reasons to have resilience, to maintain faith, I have read your post immediately upon delivery. It is incredibly eloquent, and I want to believe in your belief. I am struggling, but not for any lack of conviction on your part. Here's to leaving not just a nation better than we found it, because nations are temporary constructs, but here's to leaving the world better than we found it. That requires the compassion you show, and it requires all of us to have wider passions for the earth that birthed us. As you are all too ware, the bill that will be signed today will do nothing of that kind, but here's to a refusal to give up. Thanks for sharing, and now to the music!
Funky Lee Dorsey and Sharon Jones!
Just what I needed when I opened my eyes this am. A refreshing dose of what you’re thinking and a playlist to boot. Thanks
I finally know a person that also has a lump in her throat and cries at parades.
I'm thinking there are a lot of us. We just don't talk about it.
Joyce - what a poignant piece. Love it. Sharing.
Thank you, friend.
Thanks, Joyce. I needed to read this today. We can get through this together. Yes we can.
I think you mean yes we can can!
